Preamble:
The Deputy Principal plays a vital role in upholding high standards and ensuring the success of all students by fostering a safe, orderly, and supportive school environment. They help build a professional community of teachers committed to delivering quality education, promoting collaboration, setting high expectations, and focusing relentlessly on student achievement. They encourage continual professional learning, champion research-based teaching strategies, and remain closely engaged with the classroom to improve teaching and learning. Above all, the Deputy Principal supports the principal in managing the school, while promoting and protecting the ethos of the School and ADvTECH.
Key Responsibilities
As a senior member of the School Management Team, you will be expected to:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership in alignment with the school’s vision and mission.
- Coordinate academic and timetabling programmes.
- Conduct parent interviews and respond effectively to parental needs.
- Implement and maintain the School’s Code of Conduct.
- Manage and coordinate school events.
- Oversee marketing, public relations, and advertising initiatives.
- Manage student discipline in line with policy.
- Develop and oversee student leadership programmes.
- Coordinate outreach and community engagement projects.
- Drive innovation through research, development, and implementation of new initiatives.
- Provide academic leadership and curriculum guidance.
- Manage projects to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.

Minimum Requirements
- A recognised degree and/or a four-year post-matric teaching qualification.
- Experience: School management experience in a similar environment – IEB, high school, private sector.
