Job Title: Senior Phase Social Sciences and FET Tourism Teacher
Location: Pinnacle College Ridge View
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to join our team as a Senior Phase Social Sciences and FET Tourism Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Sciences to learners in Grades 8 and 9, as well as Tourism to learners in Grades 10. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a thorough understanding of the curriculum, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Sciences and Tourism to learners in the Senior Phase and FET phase.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and any concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Qualified to teach Social Sciences and Tourism at the Senior Phase and FET level.
- Registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
- Previous experience teaching these subjects at the high school level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
